Cybersecurity Awareness Training Specialist

Position Highlights

The Cybersecurity Awareness Training Specialist has a vital role in building and nurturing the customer communities, ensuring that they are engaged, satisfied, and thriving. Primary responsibilities include fostering positive relationships and representing the Cybersecurity department to the community members. 

As Cybersecurity Awareness Training Specialist will be responsible for promoting the secure behaviors necessary for information protection.

For these purposes, this communications professional will manage the development, review, execution, and maintenance of CTC’s communication plan and Cybersecurity Awareness Program.

Main responsibilities:

•    Develop a communication strategy and build communication support.
•    Plan and execute the cybersecurity awareness campaigns
•    Define, maintain, report and support an annual communications strategy for the Core Technologies & Cybersecurity (CTC) IT department.
•    Maintain and develop explanatory materials such as presentations, videos, blog posts, and other materials in support of the communication strategy.
•    Write communications for our employees, contractors and partners to inform, alert, and educate based on the communications strategy and requests from the CTC team.
•    Manage content calendars and ensure regular posting.
•    Plan and execute the cybersecurity awareness campaigns.
•    Work with the Cybersecurity team to identify the top human risks to our organization and the behaviours we need to change to manage those risks.
•    Clearly and effectively explain security risks and behaviours.
•    Engage people to include focusing on changing behaviours both at home and at work.
Communicate progress to leadership.
•    Get familiar and knowledgeable regarding CTC roadmaps and on-going initiatives to identify opportunities of communications.
•    Run interviews with CTC project managers and subjects’ specialists to draft content.

Main requirements:

•    Min 4+ years of professional work experience executing trainings.
•    Demonstrable experience in technical training or adult education. 
•    Strong soft skills for delivering presentations and trainings.
•    Tech savvy – cybersecurity background is preferred but not mandatory. 
•    Proven track record of the webinar and public speaking experience.
•    Professional experience using different types of communications methods, including social media, blogging, videos, online messaging, printed materials, hosted events and other methods.
•    Experience writing and designing information security educational material for employees and customers.
•    Project management experience is nice to have.
•    Preferred qualification: Master’s degree in business, communications or computer science.
