Position Highlights

The Senior Solution Specialist - VMware is responsible for the architecture, governance, evolution, and maintenance of the organization's enterprise virtualization solutions on a global scale.

The position serves as a technical subject matter expert for virtualization platforms, primarily VMware and Hyper-V, defining standards, technological roadmaps, and best practices, ensuring secure, resilient, scalable environments aligned with business needs.

The professional will collaborate with global teams, strategic partners, and vendors to support digital transformation initiatives, technological modernization, and operational excellence.

Main responsibilities:

Define and execute the technological strategy, architecture, and roadmap for VMware platforms.
Act as a global technical reference for VMware solutions.
Plan, implement, evolve, and sustain the platforms under their responsibility.
Manage the solution lifecycle, including deployment, operation, optimization, and decommissioning.
Lead infrastructure, virtualization, and technological transformation projects from a technical standpoint.
Ensure availability, performance, capacity, resilience, and security of the environments.
Provide specialized technical support for critical incidents and complex problems.
Define and monitor performance indicators, operational metrics, and service levels.
Coordinate vendors, partners, and global multidisciplinary teams.
Promote automation, standardization, and continuous service improvement.
Act as a technical consultant for business units and technology teams.
Ensure compliance with corporate standards, regulatory requirements, and information security policies.

Main requirements:

• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in enterprise VMware solutions (level 3 support)
• Experience in multinational environments and critical infrastructure.
• Advanced knowledge of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), vSphere, and vSAN.
• Experience in architecture, implementation, and maintenance of virtualization platforms.
• Experience in capacity, availability, performance, and disaster recovery management.
• Experience in technical leadership of infrastructure and digital transformation projects.
• Knowledge of ITIL and Agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical capacity and complex problem-solving skills.

Mandatory:

VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9.x or higher, VMware vSphere 8.x.
VMware vSAN, VMware Aria Suite.
Data Center Infrastructure.
Scripting language
Windows Server Administration
License management.
