Service Delivery Specialist Automation

Position highlights

Main scope:

•    Use Ansible, Terraform, Power Apps, OpCon to design, implement, and optimize automation solutions that drive operational efficiency and reliability across IT systems. 
•    Utilize scripting languages such as Bash, Python and PowerShell to develop and maintain automation solutions that streamline IT operations. 
•    Design and implement automation workflows in Azure DevOps Pipelines for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes. 
•    Work with REST APIs to integrate different systems and tools for seamless communication. 
•    Develop a deep understanding of Azure Cloud’s native automation tools and services (such as Azure Automation, Logic Apps, and Azure Functions) to design and implement scalable, cloud-based automation solutions. 

Main responsibilities:

•    Global workload automation in hybrid infrastructure: Datacenter & Cloud.
•    Central interface to design and schedule simple and complex workflows 
•    Job and Batch Scheduling - Act as escalation point of contact to L1 teams, also assisting in the relationship with L3/Architect teams and vendor. 
•    Documents promote and control the scope assigned. 
•    Work closely with the IT team to identify automation opportunities, understand system requirements, and effectively communicate automation solutions. 
•    Ensure that automated processes comply with security and automation policies and standards, proactively addressing any vulnerabilities or compliance issues. 
•    Ensure documentation is in place for all moves into production. 
•    Monitor and maintain automation workflows, ensuring timely resolution of any failures by implementing necessary bug fixes or hot fixes to restore operational continuity.

Main requirements:

Must have (key areas): 

•    Ansible - Experience in writing Ansible playbooks for configuration management and automation tasks. 
•    REST API - Knowledge and experience in interacting with RESTful APIs for automation and integration purposes. 
•    Linux Administration – bash scripting; management of Cron as job scheduling; Understanding the day-to-day operational work for the OS. 
•    Windows Administration - PowerShell scripting; including management of Windows Task Scheduler; Understanding the day-to-day operational work for the OS. 
•    Experienced with DevOps and Agile 
•    Azure DevOps Pipelines - Proficiency in setting up and configuring CI/CD pipelines for application deployment. 
•    AI and Agentic knowledge

Good to have: 

•    Azure Cloud - Understanding of Azure services, resource provisioning, and management. 
•    PowerApps and PowerBI 
•    Monitoring Auto-healing actions – Develop auto-healing mechanisms across cloud and hybrid environments, including health probes, failure detection, and automated remediation workflows. 
•    Windows package manager - Chocolatey 
•    IaC - Terraform
